When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
John 16:13
Since it is impossible for God to lie, all His words are true; thus, His Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.
Jesus said it was to our advantage that he left so the Holy Spirit could come.
He has been poured out, and our lives are empowered by and through Him. We are not to be ignorant of his working in our lives. He is the revealer. He is our Help. He is our ADVANTAGE.
Our advantage because he now dwells within us. Jesus came as the word of God made flesh. He revealed the heart and mind of God to all. Now, the Holy Spirit is always with us to do that.
We can know what the Father is declaring now and the things that are to come. Jesus prepared his disciples “to keep them from falling away”. The good, the bad, the ugly, he did not hide truth from them. As Jesus did, the Father is saying and telling us things to come. We can know too.
For the Spirit of truth to benefit us, we must hold a love for the truth. Jesus said his disciples would know the truth and the truth would set them free.
It’s the truth I know and believe that brings me into freedom and liberty. I’ve said, there are many things we know, but we live from what we believe.
Second Thessalonians 2:10 reminds us that deception occurs where there is not a love for truth. It is a love for truth that saves us.
James wrote, " You have not because you ask not. If you lack wisdom, ask God. You don’t have because you don’t ask, or you ask amiss. You ask the wrong question. There is no right answer to a wrong question.
So.....
Ask God!
We can’t fear the truth.
We must love the truth.
You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.
Ask the hard questions.
He will tell us the truth.
He will challenge the unbelief.
He will dispel darkness with light.
He will tell of things to come.
We can know.
He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying
